Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Leads Theme Park Injuries & Incidents for Early 2025

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has updated their quarterly report with theme park injuries from the first three months of 2025. Florida theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are required to report any guest injuries or sickness that lead to 24 hours of hospitalization. Other injuries are not included in this report.

Walt Disney World

There were a variety of incidents at Walt Disney World rides. On January 17, an 82-year-old woman fell while exiting Frozen Ever After, injuring her ankle. Also at EPCOT, a 73 year-old-female felt nauseated after exiting Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on January 21.

Over at Magic Kingdom, a 51-year-old man with a pre-existing condition felt shortness of breath after riding Peter Pan’s Flight on January 24. On January 29, a 78-year-old man with a pre-existing condition felt faint after riding Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

There were no incidents reported in February but a series of three were reported at the end of March. On March 24, a 14-year-old girl with pre-existing conditions experienced abdominal pain after riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On March 27, also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a 25-year-old woman experienced seizure-like symptoms after riding Alien Swirling Saucers.

Lastly, a 68-year-old woman fell and injured her leg while exiting Mad Tea Party on March 31.

Universal Orlando Resort

There was one ride behind all three incidents reported at Universal Orlando Resort this quarter: Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

On February 3, a 33-year-old man had a seizure at the attraction.

The other two incidents both saw guests with pre-existing conditions experience chest pain. One was a 53-year-old man on March 8. The other was a 26-year-old man on March 18.

Unlike with Disney, the Universal incidents don’t indicate whether the guests experienced their symptoms before, during, or after riding Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
