Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s 20th anniversary is just around the corner, and they’ve shared a guide to all the entertainment, dining, shopping, and character offerings that will be available during “The Most Magical Party of All,” as well as the celebration’s start date.
To start, “The Most Magical Party of All” Hong Kong Disneyland 20th anniversary event begins on June 28, 2025. Previously, the resort had only said the event would begin this summer, before sharing its starting month later on.
Entertainment
“Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!”
The Castle of Magical Dreams will be home to an all-new stage show for the 20th anniversary. “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!” will feature the 20th anniversary anthem, as well as two brand-new original songs. The show will also include LED decor, giant balloons, and colorful banners. Mickey and friends, along with Duffy and friends, will be dressed in their 20th anniversary outfits. The Disney Princesses will also celebrate the event with never-before-seen party attire.
“Friendtastic!” Parade
The new “Friendtastic!” parade will be the largest-ever in scale at Hong Kong Disneyland. It will be about 30 minutes in length with Mickey and friends leading the party. The parade will include 11 floats, about 100 performers, and over 30 Disney characters. Four original songs have also been created just for the new parade.
The floats are themed to films such as “Zootopia,” “Big Hero 6,” “Encanto,” “Toy Story,” “Monsters Inc.,” “Turning Red,” “Inside Out,” and “Up.” Other float themes will include Duffy and friends and the Disney Princesses.
Casa Madrigal will come to life with dancing tiles, glowing doors, and flapping shutters.
Isabel from “Encanto” will make her debut appearance during this all-new parade.
Red Panda Mei from “Turning Red” will also make her debut appearance during the “Friendtastic!” parade. Mei’s float is decorated with photos of her alongside her friends. A boombox and microphone sit in front of her. Overtop of her is an arch resembling a friendship bracelet decorated with oversized beads and a photo of Mei in her human form.
The concept art above shows Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters from the “Zootopia” film. Officer Clawhauser will make his Hong Kong Disneyland debut in the parade as he’s seen walking behind the float.
Anna, Elsa, Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, and Rapunzel are on a float decorated with a shimmering castle with bright colors and swirls, similar to the design of the float carrying Mickey and friends.
Woody and Buzz are riding atop RC. Sulley, Mike, and Boo wave to guests atop a float themed to the scare floor with Boo’s door behind them.
Duffy and friends are on a whimsical float that contains a waterfall, sandy shores, a bridge, and an apple tree.
Joy and Sadness ride atop a float themed to the control panel with memory orbs glowing below them. Behind them is an “Up” themed float with Carl Fredricksen, Russell, and Dug.
“Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!”
The nighttime show “Momentous” will receive a special 20th anniversary edition. The nearly 30-minute-long show will feature music, characters, and memorable moments from various Disney films, including “Sleeping Beauty” and “The Princess and the Frog.” The Fairy Godmother will begin the show with a flick of her wand, reminding Mickey that it’s time to host the “Most Magical Party of All.”
Projections will extend down Main Street U.S.A. for the very first time. The show will become a 360-degree spectacle with drones, illuminated water projections, choreographed water fountains, flames, lasers, theatrical lighting, and pyrotechnic effects.
Food and Drinks
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will debut over 80 new food and beverage offerings for the 20th anniversary event.
Menu items will include character and anniversary-themed cupcakes and a “Party Bubbles” special beverage.
Plenty of other sweet and savory treats will also be available for the event.
Merchandise
Over 300 all-new 20th anniversary exclusive merchandise items will debut for the celebration. There will be six new collections at locations around the resort, including the Emporium, Kingdom Gifts, and more.
Plush characters of Mickey and friends dressed in their anniversary outfits will be available, as well as ear headbands and a tote bag.
Mickey ear hat figures featuring Mickey and friends, Duffy and friends, and the 20th anniversary theme will be included in the collection.
There will be medallions featuring Mickey and friends and Duffy and friends dressed in their special outfits.
Other Duffy and friends merchandise includes small and large plush, character headbands, ear headbands, hair clips, and tote bags.
Other merchandise such as shirts, drinkware, notebooks, bags, and an ear headband themed to the castle will debut during the event.
Retro-style apparel will feature the Hong Kong Disneyland logo along with images of Mickey.
Kids’ apparel will be available along with Minnie balloon-shaped bags, shimmering ear headbands, and merchandise with Mickey and friends in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams.
Boutique-style merchandise themed to Minnie will include a shirt, a skirt, drinkware, and other accessories.
Guests can purchase a Pandora charm of Mickey dressed in his “Friendtastic!” outfit.
Also debuting will be plush of Mickey and Minnie wearing their “Friendtastic!” parade attire, along with artwork of the parade floats.
Figures of the 11 different floats will also debut as part of the exclusive anniversary merchandise.
Characters
Mickey and all his pals will be wearing all-new outfits for the celebration. Guests will be able to meet Mickey and friends at the Gazebo in Town Square on Main Street U.S.A. and Fantasy Gardens at Fantasyland. Duffy and friends can be found at the Duffy and Friends Play House between the end of Main Street U.S.A. and the entrance to Adventureland.
There will also be more 20th anniversary fun at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge, and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. Guests can partake in activities such as creating their own customized 20th anniversary keepsake beginning June 28, 2025. From now until June 27, anniversary-themed invitations, themed balloon art, latte art, and mirrors will be located at merchandise shops and other locations.
