Several new props have been added to the Islands of Adventure Trading Company at Universal Orlando.

Islands of Adventure Trading Company is an exploration-themed store that sells gifts, apparel, hats, jewelry, toys, and theme park merchandise along with newly added Epic Universe Merchandise.

The store now has a new large prop display with an octopus emerging from a barrel.

The barrel’s lid can be seen from the back of the new prop being held onto by one of the tentacles. Other tentacles are holding lanterns.

There is a hole near the bottom of the barrel, which features one eye looking out into the store. The eye moves about, looking around the store before disappearing and returning.

Several large chests, adventure equipment, and greenery surround the main feature.

Many maps, along with a telescope, globe, and other nautical items, are gathered in other trunks, along with a copy of “How to Abandon Ship” and an Islands of Adventure Preview Guide.

There is also a green metal suitcase-like chest with several stickers adorning it. Several locations, real and fictitious, are represented, including Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, and Isla Nublar, along with a sticker for Island’s Air, which is “proudly serving” the Islands.

Another of the crates features a rustic “undeliverable” Manifest of Supplies returned to the Trading Company. It was meant to be delivered to the Global Discovery Group on site at the Poseidon’s Temple Dig Site, by request of Professor Baxter. The label notes, “ATTN: Taylor.”
The Global Discovery Group’s exploration of the temple was part of the plot for the retired Poseidon’s Fury attraction in the Lost Continent. The expedition was led by Professor Baxter, who had gone missing when guests arrived. The attraction was led by a host character called Taylor. The order is for 30 megaphones (“ran out, kept losing”), with a date of 5/28/1999, the opening day for Poseidon’s Fury. There is also a listing for 64 bandanas (“fashion needs for the team”). Taylor’s costume included a bandana. That order is listed on 04/01/2001. That date marked the opening of the more recent version of the attraction, which featured major narrative changes.

On the other side is a truck that guests may recognize as the ride vehicle for Skull Island: Reign of Kong, belonging to the Eighth Wonder Expedition Company.
