Goofy’s Candy Co. is celebrating National Caramel Day with free Werther’s Original caramel hard candies, photo booths, and the arrival of customizable Mickey ice cream bars.
Customizable Mickey Ice Cream Bars Review
The Create Your Own Treat station re-opened in April of 2022 after being shutdown due to the COVID-19 closures. Guests could choose from from a caramel apple, marshmallow, Mickey crisped rice cereal treat, or cake pops. Those selections are all still available, but the counter has now debuted customizable Mickey ice cream bars.
For the Mickey ice cream treat, guests grab one of the bright green customization sheets from the counter. Several drizzle and topping options are listed, and guests make a checkmark next to the toppings they want. Whip cream and a maraschino cherry can also be added. We chose a Werther’s Original caramel drizzle, peanut butter M&M’s, graham cracker crumbs, and a cherry.
Once the order has been placed, guests can watch their creation being made by Cast Members along an assembly line.
The treat is great, but it isn’t anything spectacular. At the end of the day, it is basically a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar with toppings thrown over the chocolate. However, getting to chose toppings and watch the customization process in the kitchen is a neat experience. We expect this new treat will be especially popular with younger children.
