One of the windows in the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT was broken yesterday, and the spot has now been temporarily repaired using tape.

Broken Window in Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Yesterday April 11, we heard reports that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind temporarily closed in EPCOT, possibly due to one of the themed windows in the queue being broken. We stopped by this morning and confirmed that the window is indeed missing.

A group of people stand in an indoor setting under hanging, spherical lights with intricate patterns. The dimly lit room exudes a cosmic rewind vibe, with a blue and purple color scheme reminiscent of Guardians of the Galaxy's interstellar adventures.

The broken window is located in the section of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind queue where guests walk up a series of alternating ramps.

A dimly lit, futuristic-themed room buzzes with energy as people gather around. Some are drawn to the large window panel, its purple lighting casting an otherworldly glow reminiscent of a Cosmic Rewind adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The window in question is located on the far left of the the wall. All of these windows separate the ramp section from the upper hallway and are unique polygon shapes.

In an indoor scene with cosmic blue lighting, a glass surface reflects intricate blue geometric patterns. The background reveals ceiling lights and a glimpse of a spherical lamp, reminiscent of the aesthetic from Guardians of the Galaxy's thrilling adventures.

At a distance, it appears the window is still intact. However, the windows in this section are actually all double-sided to make them extra thick. The window pane facing toward the ramp side is still intact, but the interior pane facing the hallway is now missing.

The gap where the broken window used to reside is more apparent from the interior, especially when compared to the width of the other nearby windows.

A blue padded railing with a geometric pattern of illuminated triangles in the background, featuring shades of blue and green, evokes the cosmic aesthetic of Guardians of the Galaxy. A person in a white shirt is partially visible on the left.

To cover up the slot where the window is held in place, Cast Members have repaired this section using grey duct tape. The tape has been cut to match the lines and gaps in the nearby wall.

There has been no further news on how or why the window was broken. Since the section has been covered with tape, it appears replacing the window may take more than a few days. In the meantime, the other geometric-patterned window is thankfully still present.

Unfortunately, this is not the only issue for the Cosmic Rewind queue in recent weeks, as guests reported in March that someone pooped all over one of the interior hallways.
