Additional themed concrete work has been completed around the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT.

People walk outside on a sunny day, some with strollers, near a line at an amusement park or attraction.

Previously, concrete work had begun near the entrance to  La Cantina de San Angel on the opposite side of the Mexico Pavilion pyramid. The new concrete is a slightly more orange color compared to the older pavement. It is also a bit more textured than the old pavement, with some gravel rocks and thematic cracks added to each section.

People walk and gather near a large staircase leading up to a building with decorative tiles on a sunny day.

The new themed concrete work has now extended past La Cantina de San Angel and continues in front of the pyramid containing The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros.

People line up outside a pyramid-shaped building under the sun, with a "Please Enter Here" sign in the foreground.

The old Mexico Pavilion walkway had a more standard brown pavement with no thematic details. The old concrete was also laid in a uniform square style, so it doesn’t match the theming of the pavilion as much as the new concrete.

There is a pretty harsh line where the new and old concrete meet in the middle of the guest walkway. It is likely that Disney will add more of the new concrete in the coming days to create a more streamlined transition leading into the Norway Pavilion.

Disney has been working on several aspects of the Mexico Pavilion over the past several months. Previously, we saw scaffolding erected around the pavilion pyramid for some refurbishment work on the building facade. The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros also reopened in March following an extended refurbishment with updated props and lighting.
