A fountain located in Adventureland has now been revealed after two years behind construction walls.
Adventureland Fountain Revealed
In the summer of 2023, a pipe burst, creating the need to remove the fountain. This area has been behind walls since the removal. However, in our last update, the first visible work since the incident could be seen behind a fencing-like wall.
The fountain was not operational at the time we took photos, but it does look complete. Resembling a temple in ruins, an ape holds up a basin which looks as though it will be part of the water feature. Vines are also twisting through the rock-like ruins.
Tiki Room Refurbishment
Across the way, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and its attached companion restrooms are closed for refurbishment. We recently reported that the Tangaroa Tree standing outside the Enchanted Tiki Room would be completely rebuilt during an extended refurbishment of the attraction, which has begun with the dismantling of the tree.
Disneyland Park has recently been refurbishing several classic attractions in preparation for the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebrations, which began on May 16. The “it’s a small world” ride recently reopened from a lengthy refurbishment with new “Coco” figures, and will debut a new verse of the ride’s classic song as a tribute to the late Sherman Brothers on July 17. That same day, Disneyland Park will debut the show, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” featuring the first Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic figure.
