For the first time since 2019, both Walt Disney World water parks are open simultaneously.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach initially closed for a brief refurbishment on May 1, with Typhoon Lagoon reopening that same day. Today, May 21, Blizzard Beach is reopening to join Typhoon Lagoon for the summer.
Since 2019, the water parks have been taking turns operating for half of the year, with one open to guests and one closed for refurbishment. Before 2019, the water parks would close for brief refurbishments in the winter but would both be open for most of the year.
Resort guests taking advantage of the complimentary check-in day water park admission can now choose which park to visit.
