Carnation Cafe, a table service restaurant at Disneyland park, is offering three 70th anniversary celebratory menu items, including two alcoholic beverages. The 70th celebration is leaning heavily into nostalgia, despite the anachronistic addition of alcohol.
Disneyland was famously a “dry” park, with alcohol only available at Club 33 until 2019 when Oga’s Cantina opened in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Since then, more venues have been adding alcoholic offerings.

Beef Stroganoff – $26
Braised Beef, Bacon, Onions, and Mushrooms over Egg Noodles
The beef is tender and cuts with ease. We’ve never had stroganoff with bacon before, and it was a nice touch. The egg noodles are perfectly cooked and delicious. This is fantastic. It doesn’t seem like a great choice for a summer dish, but it’s so good, don’t skip out on it.

Tropical Rum Cocktail – $19
Bacardi Superior Rum, Myers’s Rum Original Dark, Pineapple, Orange & Lime Juices, and Grenadine
The lime is strong, followed by the orange. We were glad that the pineapple wasn’t overpowering, as it often can be. It’s well-balanced and refreshing with a great flavor profile.

Karl Strauss Brewing Company, 70th Anniversary IPA – $15
American IPA | 7% ABV | San Diego, California
No one in our party was a fan of IPAs, so your mileage may vary. It has that distinctive IPA smell. This brew is very fruit-forward with strong citrus notes. It lacks the charcoal-esque taste that we don’t like with other IPAs, and we found it much more palatable.
