Construction Walls Come Down in Tomorrowland, Revealing More Magic Kingdom Pavement Work

Crews have been replacing the pavement between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland for the past several weeks. Construction walls came down from the most recent phase of work close to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

The pavement replacement project has been ongoing on the sidewalk that acts as a border between the two Magic Kingdom lands. Work began on the Fantasyland side of the walkway, then moved to the Tomorrowland side. For the past few weeks, part of the Cosmic Ray’s outdoor seating area was closed.

With the construction walls gone, we can see the fresh new pavement. However, it appears work isn’t quite complete. There is an odd gray section where two pieces of pavement meet and a random diagonal stripe that’s darker than the rest of the pavement.

Further down are more gray splotches bordering uneven pavement. We expect more construction walls to go up later for the project to be completed.

The walls previously blocked this planter and outdoor seating. There appear to have been no major changes to the area except for the new pavement.

Construction may have paused for now due to the weekend and rainy weather.

Regular sidewalk replacements and refurbishments are necessary at the parks, considering how many people walk on the pavement daily. Adventureland received new themed pavement a few months ago.
