A virtual D23 event called “Magic After Dark: The Story of Disney’s Nighttime Spectaculars”! is coming soon for Gold Members.
D23 Magic After Dark Event
The D23 virtual event will feature several of the creative teams from nighttime shows past and present. The event will include some behind-the-scenes stories of past nighttime spectaculars as well as a preview of upcoming shows.
The nighttime spectaculars at Disney Parks have created treasured memories for guests for decades, providing their “kiss goodnight” after a day of Disney fun. In this D23 Gold Theater presentation, hosts Jessica McDonald from D23 and producer and Disney author Graham Allan look back at the fan-favorite “Magic After Dark” panel from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last August. The panel featured Steven Davison, Jennifer Magill, and Don Dorsey, who have all worked on some of your favorite nighttime shows past and present! Our hosts will also take a peek at what’s to come, as they give fans an exclusive look at new shows bringing the night to life this summer at Disneyland and Walt Disney World!

D23 Fan Club
D23 is the official Disney fan club. Every other year D23 hosts a huge Disney Expo, and Plus D23 is continuously holding smaller events around the United States. Some of these events include Destination D, Tours of the Walt Disney Studios & Archives, D23 Sip & Scream, and exclusive Mickey’s of Glendale Shopping events.
This year, Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney will take place from August 29-31 and is said to be the largest Destination D23 ever. Because of this, the event will move to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort after being held previously at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
