According to Bloomberg, every season of “CoComelon” will stream on Disney+ starting in 2027, the same year Universal Pictures is set to release a “CoComelon” film produced by DreamWorks.

One of Bloomberg’s sources said Disney would pay tens of millions of dollars annually for the streaming rights.

“CoComelon” was the second-most watched Netflix program in 2024 after “Bridgerton.” The “CoComelon” YouTube channel has 193 million subscribers.

The YouTube channel was created by Jay Jeon in 2006 as “checkgate.” It was later rebranded “ABC Kid TV” and then, in 2018, “CoComelon.” Jeon sold it to Moonbug Entertainment in 2020. Candle Media, owned by former Disney executives Kevin Mayer and Thomas Staggs, acquired Moonbug in 2021.

Disney is also licensing several seasons of Moonbug’s “Little Angel” and “JJ’s Animal Time.”

Moonbug declined Bloomberg’s request for comment.

“CoComelon” videos will continue to be posted on YouTube. “CoComelon Lane” will remain on Netflix. “Little Angel” will remain on YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon.

Fellow Moonbug property “Blippi” recently filmed a series of specials at Walt Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line. “Blippi” also streams on Netflix.
