A new ear headband inspired by Princess Aurora, a.k.a Sleeping Beauty, has finally arrived at Walt Disney World.
We found this latest ear headband at the recently-reopened In Character shop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In Character is located in Animation Courtyard, near the theater for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.”
Aurora Ear Headband – $34.99
This latest Disney Princess ear headband is inspired by Princess Aurora. The front of the headband is bright pink with a golden tiara between the ears in place of the usual bow. Each ear has a light pink swirl design made with puffy ink on top of the hot pink fabric. There is also a triangular section of pink fabric mirroring the details on her classic dress.
However, much like the fairies in “Sleeping Beauty,” it appears this headband can’t decide whether it wants to be pink or blue. The opposite side of what is usually the front has an identical design, but the ears and detailing are all baby blue. As a result, this headband is reversible and can be worn with either side facing the front.
The headband itself has an ombre effect where the hot pink color on one side fades into blue on the other side. The pink end of the headband has the gold silhouettes of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.
Finally, both sides have a golden plastic tiara attached between the ears. Since the headband is reversible, there is a matching tiara on both sides. The crown has four silver gemstones and matches the one worn by Aurora in the animated film. The gold is covered with protective plastic in the store to keep it from getting scratched.
If you have already fallen in love with this new ear headband, you might want to grab one quickly. The Aurora headband has proven very popular and has already sold out after originally being offered online at the Disney Store.
