GEO-82, EPCOT’s new adults-only lounge near Spaceship Earth, is now a step closer to completion as the light fixtures inside the venue have been turned on for the first time.

GEO-82 is currently being constructed in the space of the former private Siemens corporate lounge near the back of Spaceship Earth. The white exterior walls are broken up with several wide windows that will provide excellent views of World Showcase Lagoon for “Luminous: The Symphony of Us.” Disney has already announced details and pricing for a new GEO-82 Fireworks Experience.

During a trip to EPCOT on May 25, the themed lights inside the lounge area were actually turned on for the first time. The lights were only slightly visible in the daylight, but appear much brighter at night.

The lights for GEO-82 appear to be orb-shaped pendants of various sizes hanging directly from the ceiling. Each orb is covered in tiny light bulbs arranged in a geometric pattern. The overall aesthetic is not dissimilar to the triangular pattern seen on the exterior of Spaceship Earth.

Disney previously released concept art for the interior of GEO-82, which provides an idea of the finished space. The hanging orb lights in the art appear very similar to the ones seen in the windows, so the art seems quite accurate so far. The design is said to be inspired by the iconic shapes and intricate structures of Spaceship Earth in warm, metallic tones.

GEO-82 is set to officially open to guests on June 4, 2025. Reservations opened earlier this month on May 6. Disney has also released the full menu and pricing for the new lounge. While Disney originally described the lounge as a family-friendly environment, later announcements confirmed the establishment will only allow guests aged 21 or older inside at all times, not just at night.
