A new collection of merchandise and apparel with a gelato theme has arrived at the Italy Pavilion.
We found all of the new items displayed together in La Bottega Italiana in EPCOT.
Rome Gelato Shirt – $29.99
This gray shirt says “When in Rome, Italy” with the EPCOT World Showcase logo, all in a dark red color. On the left side of the text, a yellow waffle cone with white and red striped gelato has a Mickey-shaped waffle piece stuck to the top.
Gelato Plastic Tumbler – $27.99
Matching the image of a waffle cone on the shirt, this plastic tumbler has a double-layered cup patterned like a waffle cone on the interior. The front has a white and blue striped logo that says “Italy Pavilion EPCOT World Showcase” in red. The lid is dome-shaped and patterned like white gelato with red swirls.
The lid unscrews to refill the cup. The tumbler does come with a transparent plastic straw. The back of the cup is plain with more of the waffle cone pattern.
When in Rome Dish – $16.99
Our reporter likened this small bowl to a gelato dish, since it is the perfect size for a scoop of ice cream. The dish has more of the yellow waffle cone pattern with the same striped oval Italy Pavilion logo from the tumbler. One side has a red Mickey icon stuck into the bowl as a type of handle.
The back of the bowl has the “When in Rome” text from the shirt repeated on a matching striped oval.
When in Rome Tote Bag – $29.99
This tote bag has three color blocks running horizontally across the fabric. The top is light pink, the middle is off-white, and the bottom is a darker shade of red. The front has an image of classic Italian desserts, including tiramisu, a cannoli, and the same gelato cone from the shirt. The image also includes the “When in Rome” text and a small “Italy” logo.
The opposite side of the bag has more of the same colors and the usual “Italy Pavilion EPCOT World Showcase” logo in red. The tote’s carry handles are the same off-white color as the center fabric.
Italy Gelato Minnie Ear Headband – $34.99
This new Minnie ear headband is mostly pastel blue and pink. The headband itself is blue on the outside with pink velour lining the interior.
Both of the ears have a diamond pattern with blue stitching. The diamonds feature an Italy logo with hidden Mickey filigree, gelato cone, tiramisu, and cannoli.
“Italy Pavilion EPCOT World Showcase” is printed in red text on the side of the headband. The bow is striped blue and off-white. An enamel charm with the gelato image and “Cremosa” (“Creamy”) is at the center of the bow.
Gelato Baseball Cap – $29.99
The ball cap is light blue. The gelato cone is pictured on the front with “Dolce” across it in red cursive. “Sono Extra” (“I’m extra”) is in small white text. “Italy” is embroidered at the edge of the brim.
Instead of a Velcro or snapback strap, the cap has a blue and white-striped bow. “EPCOT World Showcase” is embroidered in white above the strap.
Tea Towel Set – $19.99
This set includes two tea towels. One is solid pink with light green trim. It features a large version of the gelato image. The other towel has the diamond pattern with various Italian treats.
Plates Set of 4 – $39.99
This set includes four small plates. All four have the same pattern featuring advertisements for Italian treats.
The tops of the plates are primarily blue with pink and white designs. The bottoms of the plates are white.
Gelato Apron – $39.99
The apron is pink with light blue trim and striped ruffles along the bottom. The straps are light blue. The neck strap is adjustable.
“When in Rome, Italy” is across the chest with the gelato image. A large white pocket features the diamond treats pattern.
The Italy Pavilion is not the only section of World Showcase to receive some new merchandise. The Canada Pavilion in EPCOT also recently debuted a new Mickey and Friends hockey-themed merchandise collection.
