The reimagined website — thewaltdisneybirthplace.org — “focuses on improving the user experience in meaningful ways,” including simplified navigation, interactive features, and a mobile-responsive design.
Located in Chicago, Illinois, The Walt Disney Birthplace is the home where Walt Disney and Roy Disney were born.
Rooted in the powerful truth that “It all started with a house,” the site honors the original home built by Elias Disney. It is a place where two visionary brothers first opened their eyes and where the seeds of an extraordinary creative legacy were planted.

On the website, users can learn about the house’s history and restoration, plan their visit, make donations, and check out current programming and events. The Walt Disney Birthplace is currently hosting a donation campaign to win a Walt Disney World vacation.
We approached this project as a foundation for something even bigger. Walt’s legacy is about curiosity and always asking what comes next. This new site helps tell that story in powerful, accessible ways while supporting the Birthplace’s mission.

The Walt Disney Birthplace will soon launch a new merchandise collection available online and on-site. A tour-exclusive line is in the works. The Birthplace began offering tours in 2023.
Also coming soon is a lineup of educational events and community initiatives “focused on creativity, confidence, and empowering the next generation of dreamers.”
