Captain Gantu, Hamsterviel, and Angel are making surprise appearances alongside Stitch for 626 Day at Magic Kingdom.
Gantu, Hamsterviel, Angel Appear at Tomorrowland Galactic Blast
Gantu and Hamsterviel, in particular, only make rare appearances at Disney Parks, so this is one of the few times guests can see the villains in person. Gantu is not quite as big as he appears in the animated film, but he’s still one of the larger Disney characters you can encounter.
Notably, Gantu does not appear in the new live-action “Lilo & Stitch.”
Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel is the villain of “Stitch! The Movie” and “Lilo & Stitch: The Series.” He’s a white hamster-like alien with a red cape featuring a yellow “H.”
The characters have joined Stitch for the Tomorrowland Galactic Blast at the Rockettower Plaza Stage. Stitch appears daily at this DJ dance party, but Gantu, Hamsterviel, and Angel can only be seen today.
The dance party opened at 11 a.m. with just dancers. They previously wore silver outfits but have new space-patterned costumes.
They then invited Stitch and Angel on stage. The characters will briefly dance among guests on the ground but will not stop for photos or autographs.
Gantu came out a few minutes later. He stayed on stage for the party but still danced.
Hämsterviel joined the party close to noon. Tomorrowland Galactic Blast is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. but the characters and performers do periodically take breaks.
The party is a limited-time offering as part of Cool Kid Summer celebrations.
