There are blue construction walls and temporary barriers now placed around the porte cochere of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The walls cut across the middle of the flowerbeds that usually wrap around this area.

People stand under striped umbrellas near a parking lot with construction walls and a large green building in the background.

Cast Members are stationed at umbrellas in front of the construction walls to help guests with services like valet, luggage assistance, and transportation.

Guests can still exit and enter through the Beach Club Resort’s main entrance doors behind the porte cochere. The walls start at the first set of white columns opposite the doors, so there is still an open walkway behind them.

The PPG Paints-branded signs are teal with anchor imagery to match the Beach Club Resort theming. They feature quotes by Walt Disney, as is common with most Walt Disney World construction walls. There are also signs pointing guests to different transportation services. Blue painter’s tape was used to mark the location of a “light tower.”

Meanwhile, there are construction walls also standing at the back of the Beach Club Resort, with scaffolding reaching the top of the building. The black tubes on the side of the scaffolding are for trash.

These construction walls go up to the ramp leading into the resort, but stop just short of actually blocking it or the nearby stairs. We saw a few crew members working on the scaffolding, which sticks out several yards from the building.

This maintenance will presumably include repainting and fixing any broken elements of the facade, as similar work has already been taking place around the sides of Stormalong Bay.

The porte cochere on the back of the building is currently open, but Disney’s announcement indicates it will also close at some point during the process. The refurbishment began on June 2 and is expected to last through September 2025. Disney said “efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours.” Work also continues on Stormalong Bay, the pool area of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.
