Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios Japan is closing later this year. To honor the restaurant, USJ is offering a giveaway campaign to guests wanting to celebrate the location.
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill is a restaurant located in the New York area of Universal Studios Japan. The full-service location offers European-style food in an Irish pub setting. There is also a bar where guests can enjoy seasonal cocktails.
Universal Studios Japan has announced that the last day of operations for Finnegan’s will be November 3, 2025. In the post, USJ expresses their gratitude to all those who have supported the restaurant. In doing so, they have also announced a giveaway campaign where winners will get to experience a special party or receive limited-edition original merchandise.

How to Participate
During the campaign period, quote the designated post on X with the hashtag #フィネガンズでラストチアーズ and your preferred course, either “A” or “B,” to complete your entry.
If you’d like to enter both Course A and Course B, please quote the post separately for each.
Campaign Period
Guests can enter the giveaway campaign from June 13, 2025 (Friday) through August 31, 2025 (Sunday), until 11:59 PM (JST).
Entry Requirements
To be eligible to win, you must fulfill all the following:
- You must quote the designated post with the official hashtag and your chosen course (“A” or “B”), and keep that post up until November 4, 2025 (Tuesday).
Your X account must be set to public. You cannot win both courses.
- You must agree to the winning notification and instructions sent by Universal Studios Japan.
- You must reside in Japan.
Campaign Prizes
A total of 45 winners will be selected by lottery:
- Course A: 35 groups (up to 4 people per group, 140 people total)
- Course B: 10 individuals
Notes:
- Prize contents are subject to change without notice.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, coupons, or other items.
- The prize and the winner’s rights are non-transferable and may not be sold or redeemed.
Prizes
- Course A (35 groups, up to 4 people per group) earn anInvitation to a special party at Finnegan’s Bar & Grill.
- Date & Time: November 4, 2025 (Tuesday) from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
- 1-Day Studio Pass not included. Separate park admission is required.
- Special menu will be provided (no choice of items).
- Drinks include a selection of limited alcoholic and soft drinks.
- Alcohol will be served, so both the applicant and their guests must be 20 years or older.
- You may be asked to participate in official photography. Event photos/videos may appear on Universal Studios Japan’s official website, social media, or other promotional materials.
- Course B (10 winners):
- Finnegan’s Bar & Grill limited-edition original merchandise (not for sale).
Winner Announcement
Winners will be contacted via DM on X from the official Universal Studios Japan X account after the campaign ends.

Leadership Changes for Universal Studios Japan
This closure happens to have been announced at the same time as some recent leadership changes for Universal Studios Japan, which became effective as of June 1, 2025.
JL Bonner was promoted from his previous position of Universal Studios Japan as President, CEO to the position of President, COO, Pacific Rim where he will oversee the teams and overall operations of Universal Studios Japan. Taku Murayama will now serve as the Executive Vice President & General Manager at USJ LLC to lead Universal Studios Japan, a promotion from his previous position of Executive Officer and Senior Vice President CMO.
