Crews have replaced more pavement between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.

Since our last construction update in May, more fresh pavement has been laid outside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Work began outside the Fairytale Garden in February.

There’s an awkward diagonal strip of new black concrete cutting through the old faded gray sidewalk. Scoring around this piece suggests the surrounding old concrete will be removed soon.

Until then, the area looks messy with all the scoring cuts and white splotches.

Closer to Cheshire Cafe, the concrete is smoother, but there’s still a clear difference between the old and new pavement. For now, there are no construction walls, planters, or stanchions blocking work areas.

Regular sidewalk replacements and refurbishments are necessary at Disney Parks because of the frequent foot traffic. A few months ago, Adventureland received new themed pavement.
