Following the final performances of MuppetVision 3D on June 7, the entire left section of Grand Avenue has now been blocked off by rolling planters and removed from all Disney’s Hollywood Studios park maps.

As previously announced by Disney, both MuppetVision 3D and PizzeRizzo have officially closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The whole are is set to become Monstropolis from Monsters Inc., with a still unannounced show taking over the MuppetVision 3D theater and a new suspended door rollercoaster being built in the area behind Grand Avenue.

As of June 8, the whole area to the left side of the guest walkway is now blocked by rolling planters. The planters run directly across the brick-covered path that led into the Muppets Courtyard area, keeping guests from getting any closer to the closed show building. A Cast Member is currently stationed by the planters to keep guests from trying to go around them, and some green trash cans have also been staged in the walkway. We expect in the near future that these temporary planters will be replaced with taller construction walls.

So far, no visible work is taking place in the courtyard just yet. If you want to take a photo tour of the Muppets locations, we have a complete article for the Stage 1 Company Store, PizzeRizzo, and Gonzo’s Royal Flush as well as a separate article dedicated to a last look at MuppetVision 3D.

While the Muppets may be gone from Grand Avenue, Disney announced yesterday that the reimagining of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will take place in 2026, with the current attraction closing and the new version starring the Muppets opening in the same year.

With the closure of MuppetVision 3D and PizzeRizzo now official, both locations have now been removed from all park maps of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The entire side of Grand Avenue that used to house these locations, as well as Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano before it closed last month, has now been removed from the My Disney Experience app. Grand Avenue is now depicted as a single short street between Commissary Lane and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

As we reported yesterday when a few of the updated maps were accidentally released early, the physical guidemaps inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios have also been updated to reflect these changes. The only locations still considered to be within Grand Avenue include Ice Cold Hydraulics Hosted by Coca-Cola and BaseLine Tap House as numbers 26 and 27, respectively. The updated guidemaps have now been officially released at all locations in the park.

As one more sad removal, the page for MuppetVision 3D has now been completely scrubbed from the Walt Disney World website. When clicking any old links for the website that led to the MuppetVision 3D page, the screen will show the usual Stitch “Someone Ate the Page!” error message.
