MuppetVision 3D Pressed Penny Machine Has Extended Queue for Expected High Demand

In addition to the extended queues in front of MuppetVision 3D and Pizzerizzo for their final day of operation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, an extended queue has been set up in front of the attraction’s pressed penny machine.

Both MuppetVision 3D and Pizzerizzo are set to officially close tomorrow, making today, June 7, their final day of operation for guests. As a result, many guests have visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios to celebrate the legacy of these iconic Muppets locations. While both are already prepared with extended queues and final showing wristbands, one unexpected queue is located near the pressed penny machine.

While the pressed penny machines for both Pizzerizzo and MuppetVision 3D have shifted locations several times, they are currently placed on the right side of Grand Avenue leading towards Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Knowing guests will want to pick up a souvenir of their MuppetVision 3D visit, Cast Members have now made an extended queue for the penny machines using white tape.

The guest walkway on this right side of the street has now been taped off with straight lines in place of stanchions. Arrows also made of tape tell guests to stand close to the building and wrap around the opposite side.

There are a total of two pressed penny machines at this location. They are both nestled in an alcove next to a fake doorway, so there is a roof overhang keeping them out of the sun.

The dark gray machine has all three of the MuppetVision 3D penny designs. The three options include Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Kermit the Frog. They are priced at the standard pressed penny rate of one for $1 or all three for $3. Guests can pay with a card or cash, but they do not need to provide a penny to be pressed.

The brown machine on the right side only has one Muppets design, with the other two options being general “Frozen” and “The Incredibles.” This one is themed to Pizzerizzo, with the coin having the main logo of Rizzo the Rat wearing a puffy chef’s hat alongside the restaurant’s wordmark.

Disney has not announced when the pressed penny machines will be removed, so it is possible these Muppets designs may linger for a few more days following the official closure.

MuppetVision 3D is closing to make way for the new Monsters Inc. land that will take over all of Grand Avenue. Disney announced earlier today that the Muppets version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which will be reimagined with the Electric Mayhem instead of Aerosmith, is set to open sometime in 2026.
