It’s Pin Tuesday at Walt Disney World Resort, marking the release of a new “Inkwells of Evil” pin featuring the Old Hag and a “Charming Carousels” pin inspired by Mad Tea Party.
Pin Tuesday
New pins are released almost every Tuesday at Walt Disney World theme parks. Enthusiasts line up to rope drop pin stores, including The Darkroom at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which we visited this Tuesday.
Pins released earlier this month and still available include an “Elio” pin and Tinker Bell medal pin honoring 25 years of Disney Pin Trading. Two “Star Wars” May the Fourth pins are also still available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Limited Edition “Charming Carousels” Mad Tea Party Pin – $22.99
This pin is part of a monthly series, each depicting a carousel horse inspired by a Magic Kingdom attraction. The May pin features a white horse with a blonde mane and tail, and a blue saddle — the color scheme of Alice. The horse element spins in the center of a frame resembling a carousel’s canopy.
A pink “Mad Tea Party” sign is on the side of the frame. Behind the horse are large leaves, lanterns, and a teacup inspired by the attraction’s architecture. This has a limited edition of 2,000.
Limited Edition “Inkwells of Evil” Old Hag Pin – $22.99
The monthly “Inkwells of Evil” series depicts different Disney Villains emerging in black and white from retro inkwells. The Old Hag from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is depicted holding a basket of apples in one hand and a single apple in the other.
The finish on the Old Hag is smoky like ink. The inkwell itself has a bubbly, apple texture with “Ink” on the front. This has a limited edition size of 4,000.
