A new Loungefly crossbody bag is shaped like Hei Hei from “Moana,” and the popular item is already almost sold out at Disney Springs. We found this new bag at Disney Style.
Hei Hei Loungefly Bag – $100
The new Loungefly bag is a crossbody style, but it is shaped exactly like Hei Hei from “Moana.” The main pouch of the bag is located in Hei Hei’s body, while the rest of the feathers and head are purely decorative.
The bag uses Hei Hei’s regular colors of green, orange, and red. Both sides are nearly identical, apart from the presence of the usual Disney and Loungefly metal tag on the left side.
The top of the bag has a head covered in pleather, matching Hei Hei’s rounded face and bewildered expression. The orange beak and red comb are all stiff to keep them from bending out of shape.
The head is tilted slightly to one side, as Hei Hei does when he is curious. The head is stuck in this position and does not tilt in any other direction.
The eye on the opposite side has its pupil not quite lined up in the same place, matching Hei Hei’s expression with his eyes looking in opposite directions.
The bottom of the bag has more pleather decorations representing his feet. One foot is standing straight down and one is folded, as though Hei Hei is standing on one leg. The legs are again purely decorative, and the bag does not stand upright on its own.
The wings on either side do stick out from the main bag, though they are sewn together and do not act as another storage pouch.
The only storage compartment in this Loungefly crossbody is a single pouch located in the middle of Hei Hei’s body. The top has an gold zipper with orange lining. As our reporter noted, the interior pouch is a bit small and would not fit a standard-sized smartphone, so it is more for the aesthetic than carrying lots of park gear.
The interior lining is blue fabric with a pattern of various icons and characters from “Moana.” Some of the art includes Maui’s hook, Pua, a palm tree, and Moana herself.
The extended shoulder strap for the Loungefly crossbody bag is folded inside the main compartment when purchased in the store. The strap is the same teal green color of Hei Hei’s body and has gold hardware matching the zipper. The strap is adjustable for multiple sizes.
As of the time of writing, only a few of the Hei Hei Loungefly bags were left in Disney Springs. The bag has already proved popular on social media, and we expect it will be completely sold out soon.

Loungefly also recently released a new pastel collection inspired by Stitch that included both a backpack and ear headband.
