Some of the messy new pavement between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom has been smoothed out, but the fresh concrete still looks starkly different from the old walkway.

Since our June 9 post, crews have finished replacing the last square of pavement close to the bridge, including adding a vent in the ground. The space looks much neater than a week ago.

For comparison, the above picture on the left is from June 16, and the picture on the right is from June 9. Though the pavement generally looks better now, there are some globs of new pavement on the nearby curb.

People stand and walk near a garden area with trees and a trash bin at an outdoor park on a sunny day.

The new pavement also looks starkly different from the old pavement. The transition between the old and new pavement looks messy.

Work on replacing this sidewalk began in February. The new pavement runs from in front of Fairytale Garden to Cheshire Cafe.

There are no more construction walls in the area, but it’s not clear if construction is complete or if more pavement will be replaced to match the new black concrete.

Regular sidewalk maintenance and replacement are necessary at the Disney Parks due to the near-endless foot traffic. Earlier this year, Adventureland completed its own themed pavement refurbishment.
