Howdy! Today was a fun day. I spent the morning in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where I found some new open-edition pins and other fun finds, including a new sign for the Abdim’s Storks. In the afternoon, I drove over to Universal Orlando Resort to experience a Halloween Horror Nights house announcement in person.
Good Morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Good morning from a very busy Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The weather is pretty dreary today; there is no rain, just clouds. I am not complaining at all. I think we all needed a brief moment without the killer heat.
Updated Braille Map in Animal Kingdom
When I got to Animal Kingdom this morning, I noticed that the Braille map in the entrance has been refreshed. It used to have green decals covering the space that once was Dino-Rama and Tough to be a Bug.
New 25th Anniversary Pin Trading Pins – $14.99
In Riverside Depot, I found four new open-edition pins celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Pin Trading. I love that the characters are all wearing sparkly blue shirts in their own style. My favorite pin is the pinbacks with Chip ‘n Dale. Each pin is available at multiple locations across Disney World property.
Cotton-Top Tamarins Still Foraging
This morning, I saw not only maintenance but someone who looked like higher management in the Cotton-Top Tamarin exhibit. The sign suggests that they won’t be back today at the very least. I wonder if there is something wrong with the air-conditioned hut.
Let me know in the comments below if you have any theories about the Cotton-Top Tamarin’s sudden disappearance.
Abdim’s Storks Get a Sign
The Abdim’s Stork finally has a sign in their new exhibit. I hated how they were so easily missed without a sign. I was stoked to see that not only were people already taking peeks, but there was also a crowd trying to catch a peek of our sweet girl in the nest.
Pandora Needs Help
Since the concrete painting concluded, it seems Pandora the World of Avatar has taken a back seat for maintenance. The drums haven’t been on in weeks and are starting to look pretty gross again. The paint is all but wearing off all the props in the area. The interactive water feature sign remains covered and inoperable.
I hope more attention is paid to this space, and this isn’t on hold for the Tropical Americas update.
More New Pins
I found even more new pins in the Dino Institute Shop. There was an entirely new series of Toy Story Pins and three new full-cast pins. My favorite is the ‘Fox and the Hound’ pin. Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below.
- Buzz Lightyear Pin
- $12.99
- Jesse and Bullseye Pin
- $12.99
- Woody Pin
- $12.99
- Zurg and Alien Pin Set
- $22.99
- Toys at Play Pin

- ‘Aladdin’ Pin

Good Afternoon from Universal Orlando Resort
It was definitely already busy when I arrived at Universal Orlando Resort this afternoon around 11 a.m. The clouds were still keeping the sun at bay, but don’t be fooled, you still need to stay hydrated because the humidity is unreal.
35th Anniversary Merchandise
I found a button-down shirt to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Universal Studios Florida. This button-down could be yours for $70.00. Ouch. These theme park things are so dang expensive. For a full breakdown of all the merchandise in this celebratory collection, be sure to visit our website.
Wicked Experience
I was hoping that there would be some spicy little somethings following the release of the trailer for the second ‘Wicked’ installment, ‘For Good’. No luck but I did find this Shiz University skort for $55.00.
Director, Marilyn, and the Diamonds
I was dying of laughter when the director of Marilyn and the Diamonds ran across the street to get a man. This poor man was on a call with his boss, but the boss had to wait because the director was not taking no for an answer, not today. Please enjoy this clip. This family was so fun!
Halloween Horror Nights Waiting Party
This was my first time getting to be in Universal when they were announcing a house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, and it was genuinely a lot of fun. I was there with other influencers and creators, and they were so welcoming and calm. A totally different vibe than what we normally see at Disney.
After a few hours of hanging out in the park, the announcement was made that Fallout will be the newest house to join Halloween Horror Nights.
I was even more impressed with the Team Members and Guests for how calm and respectful everyone was during the setup of the new merchandise featuring Fallout. 10/10 HHN creator crowd, would hang out again.
Above is just a quick clip of how quickly the Team Members were working to get this merchandise out for the eager fans.
Viking King
On the way out of Universal, I stopped by the Burger King Whopper Bar to pick up the new Viking King crown. Don’t ask me why, but I need it. The best part? If you need one too, you can easily check your closest Burger King.
I hope you enjoyed our day jumping from Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Universal Studios Florida. I most enjoyed experiencing the announcement of Fallout for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in person. I was impressed with the guests and content creators.
Let me know in the comments below if you have already purchased tickets for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. I cannot wait!
