Aerial images posted by bioreconstruct confirm the removal of the Miss Piggy Lady Liberty fountain and offer a look at Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Miss Piggy Fountain in Muppets Courtyard

We previously reported that the Miss Piggy Lady Liberty fountain had been removed from Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the space is slowly transformed into Monstropolis. The fountain continued to run after MuppetVision 3D closed, as the spray of water from the top could be seen above the construction walls in the area. We could continue to see the water spouting out of Miss Piggy’s torch over the walls until earlier this week. On June 27, we could no longer see Miss Piggy.

In photos posted to X, @bioreconstruct has confirmed that Miss Piggy is indeed missing from the fountain in the center of the Muppets Courtyard area. Some early construction equipment has also arrived in the courtyard, though nothing else seems altered just yet.
Disney has not confirmed exactly what the fate of the Miss Piggy Lady Liberty fountain will be. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which will be rethemed to the Muppets next year, could be an ideal spot, but we will have to wait and see.

The buildings and theming of the former Muppets Courtyard still remain mostly untouched, even as the area prepares for Monstropolis.

The newest concept art (below) shows the MuppetVision 3D theater renamed “The Glob.” There’s a new fountain in place of Miss Piggy, and Mama Melrose’s will become Harryhausen’s. PizzeRizzo will likely be a Monsters-themed quick-service restaurant, though it has no name in the art so far.

Muppets Courtyard was part of Grand Avenue. It included MuppetVision 3D, PizzeRizzo, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano. All three closed permanently for the area to become a “Monsters, Inc.” land. The Stage 1 Company Store, a.k.a. the former Muppets store, is expected to be completely demolished, while the rest of the buildings will be repurposed.

Guests will enter the future “Monsters, Inc.” door coaster via the energy factory building. A new map from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District reveals the size of the coaster’s show building, which is taking over a Cast Member parking lot. It will be Disney’s first vertical lift coaster and first suspended coaster.
