Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a brand new braille map without MuppetVision 3D but with the new “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” shows.
New Disney’s Hollywood Studios Braille Map
The new map has a more minimalist design with simple color blocking and different textures for each land. The design matches the new Magic Kingdom braille map introduced in 2023 and the Disney’s Animal Kingdom braille map introduced in 2024 (although the latter has had to be continually updated). The two new stage shows, which opened on May 27, are now listed on the right side of the map. “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” is in Animation Courtyard while “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” is on Sunset Boulevard, next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
On the other side of the map, MuppetVision 3D is no longer listed, and most of the buildings of Grand Avenue are gone.
There are only two small dark red buildings representing Ice Cold Hydraulics and BaseLine Tap House.
Because the two beverage venues are still open, Grand Avenue is still listed among the lands on the key, which identifies each land’s texture, as well as textures for water, buildings, “You Are Here,” and Guest Relations.
For comparison, below is the old braille map.
The old map was more visually detailed but did not have different textures for each land. It listed all the attractions for a land together, with a row of dots leading to the area. The old map also still listed “Voyage of The Little Mermaid” and “Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy,” which closed in 2020 and 2024 to be replaced by “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” and “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” respectively.
MuppetVision 3D was the only Grand Avenue attraction.
The show has also been removed from the Disney’s Hollywood Studios paper map and My Disney Experience. Although, the show’s removal from the app did cut off some other attraction names, dubbing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance simply “Star War.”
June 7 was the last day of public performances of MuppetVision 3D. Cast Members will be the last guests to see the show on June 10. Watch our video of the last public MuppetVision 3D show:
