Following the announcement of its opening date last week, Prairie Outpost is now welcoming guests to purchase new headwear from Chapel Hats in Magic Kingdom.
Prairie Outpost Magic Kingdom Reopens
Prairie Outpost and Supply is located in Frontierland, situated between Country Bear Musical Jamboree and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Previously, it was home to a confectionery that offered treats like Candy Apples, Mickey-shaped crisped rice treats, and pre-packaged snacks.

Prarie Outpost and Supply Exterior
The exterior has not changed significantly, although there was some refurbishment work in the area in 2021. There are now hats on display in the windows. The store takes up the Prairie Outpost and hardware store facades.

Inside, hats are stacked on shelves along the back wall. On top of the shelving units are frontier-themed props, and a vintage-style oven is in a corner.

A table with built-in display windows showcases some hats and hat stretchers.

The hats include various cowboy hat styles, perfect for Frontierland, as well as ball caps, fedoras, cloche hats, and feathery fascinators. There is also a selection of other accessories.

There are mirrors throughout the shop so you can check out how a hat looks on you. This shelving unit has a vintage-style silver mirror sitting on the shelf.

The hats are not Disney-branded but are all by Chapel Hats. The company also has a storefront on The Landing in Disney Springs.

There is a wide variety of flat caps. There are sun hats and visors perfect for the Florida weather.

The other accessories include hat bands, feathers, and travel hat clips.

There are also pins, which you can put on your hat or other accessory.
In addition to small mirrors, there is a full-length mirror next to this cabinet.

The props include retro lamps, binoculars, and a “Master’s Band Instruments” mirror.
