After renovation, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort offers two special room designs. We’ve already toured a Mickey and Friends room, now we’re checking out a Marvel standard room.
Marvel Standard Room Tour
The floors with Marvel rooms have murals featuring superheroes like this one with Captain Marvel.
The room number plaques also feature character silhouettes. Ours had Thor raising Mjölnir.
Inside the room, there are many of the same furnishings and trims as the Mickey and Friends rooms. It still reflects the Art Deco, retro Hollywood movie theme. But there is Marvel artwork, like this Avengers Tower mural in the closet.
The tower is red with white and black accents, in front of a blue New York City skyline and black background. The Quinjet is in the upper corner.
White silhouettes of Avengers (and Loki) are on the tower’s platform and flying above: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Spider-Man, Loki, Falcon, and Iron Man.
In cubbies below the closet’s hanging space are the safe and complimentary slippers. These are two-tone blue with a gold embroidered Avengers symbol. The room doesn’t come stocked with an iron and ironing board, but you can request them.

Across from the closet is the bathroom, with a full-length mirror on the blue door. The marble counter of the vanity is black and white.
A hair dryer, tissues, plastic cups, soap, and lotion. There’s also a jewelry tray on a small shelf — as far as we know, this is the only Disney hotel with such an item. Spare towels are tucked into cubbies under the vanity.

Because of environmental laws in Hong Kong, the hotels do not provide free disposable toiletries. You can purchase a toiletries set, and the items come in a clapboard-inspired case. There are two versions, a red one featuring Goofy and this blue one featuring Iron Man. You can purchase either one, no matter what room you’re staying in, for HK$40 (about US$5.10). The toiletries themselves aren’t branded or themed.
The mirror is black with silver circles, so it’s reminiscent of a film strip. There are lights mounted at the sides.
The bathroom floor is white-gray tile with black accents.
On the other side of the door is the shower, which is surrounded by gray tile. Shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner are mounted in the shower.
The shower curtain is blue with a black and white design across the bottom featuring more Marvel character silhouettes.
Pictured are Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Ant-Man, and Loki.
Back in the room proper, there’s a small counter next to the closet. Below it is the mini-fridge. Shelves on the side hold white mugs and an ice bucket. Coffee and tea supplies are in a drawer.

Atop the counter is a Philips water dispenser. You can choose the temperature and volume of your water. There are instructions on top.
An outlet converter is available here.
The Marvel rooms have their own key card envelopes featuring Iron Man in a blue-gold design. The cards resemble vintage movie tickets.
A padded stool is black with gray detailing to make it look like a film strip. Various units have gold bases and trim.
A blue accent wall is between the bathroom and the beds. The bedding is white, but there are black square throw pillows featuring the gold Avengers logo. There is no storage space under the beds. The blue rug adds a lot of color.
The mural above the beds depicts various heroes in red, black, and blue against a gray Art Deco background. The featured heroes are Hawkeye, Thor, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Captain America, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Black Widow, and the Hulk. Film reel-inspired elements with built-in reading lights are on the sides.
The table between the beds is an illuminating “Now Showing” marquee.
Atop the table are the room phone, coupons, a pencil, and a notepad. There are USB and USB-C outlets on the wall. They also provide a cord with three different ends.
The same red and black chairs as the Mickey and Friends room are under a circular mirror with a black frame.
Between the chairs is a table with a gold-tone film canister top.
The lamp has spotlight-inspired fixtures. This same lamp is in the Mickey and Friends rooms, but it has the Avengers logo on the fixtures.
The wallpaper is white and gray striped with a “spotlight” accent next to the coffee station. For the Marvel room, the spotlight on the wall also has the Avengers logo.
The TV displays Marvel characters like Black Widow.
