Prairie Outpost Reopening Date Announced for Magic Kingdom, Will Sell Headwear From Chapel Hats

Walt Disney World has announced the reopening date for Prairie Outpost, the former candy store that will now operate as a hat shop.

Prairie Outpost Opening Date

Several Chapel Hats are displayed on a wall, with a framed mirror reflecting one at Magic Kingdom.

The shop will open to guests on Monday, June 30. Here, guests will find wide-brimmed hats, fedoras, customized headwear, and more from Chapel Hats.

Prairie Outpost is located in Frontierland, between Country Bear Musical Jamboree and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Before it closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was home to confections and treats like candy apples, Mickey crisped rice treats, and pre-packaged snacks. In 2021, construction walls were erected around the Frontierland boardwalk in front of the store. It never reopened as a treat store after that.
