REVIEW: All 5 Beverages for Joffrey’s V.I.Passholder Freshly Brewed Card and Completion Prize at Walt Disney World

Just in time for V.I.Passholder Summer Days at Walt Disney World, Joffrey’s has debuted five new beverages alongside a special redemption card for guests who purchase all five.

Joffrey’s V.I.Passholder Summer Days Drinks

Disney has announced that V.I.Passholder Summer Days is scheduled to run from May 14 to July 31. To celebrate Walt Disney World Passholders, the offerings include a new magnet, special limited-time discounts, the return of the Passholder Lounge, and much more. One of those new offerings happens to be a series of Annual Passholder-exclusive beverages at Joffrey’s locations across all of the parks, as well as Disney Springs.

As a special Annual Passholder perk, guests can pick up a Freshly Brewed Card at any of the participating Joffrey’s locations. This card, which is designed like luggage, has five boxes for stamps. Purchasing a beverage at each of the five locations will allow guests to receive a special Annual Passholder coffee sleeve at the Landing in Disney Springs.

One important note is that the wording on the redemption card signage implies that guests must purchase the Passholder-specific beverage in order to get their stamp. However, some Cast Members informed us that you can purchase any beverage on the menu to get your card stamped, so long as it is at the correct location. It seemed that enforcing this rule came down to each individual Cast Member, so some required it while others did not.

Caramel Dreams Cold Brew – $6.99

Blend of Shakin Jamaican Cold Brew, a shot of Espresso, Caramel Sauce, Dark Chocolate Sauce, and a splash of cream, topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce

At Magic Kingdom, the Annual Passholder beverage can be found at the kiosk in Tomorrowland.

This cold brew is great. We’re not huge fans of caramel, and can’t taste much of it here, which isn’t a bad thing for us. The espresso flavor is very forward here, and overpowers pretty much every other flavor advertised, including the cold brew.

It’s a little different from our go-to Starbucks order, but in a good way. We’d get this again.

Heart of Paris Cold Brew – $6.99

French Roast Cold Brew, your choice of milk, and vanilla and hazelnut syrup, topped with whipped cream

Our next stop is the Joffrey’s kiosk located between the Canada and U.K. pavilions for the Heart of Paris Cold Brew.

This drink was disappointing. Our reporters occasionally refer to coffee as “bean juice,” but this could be more accurately described as “bean water.” This coffee was incredibly watered down. When we order cold brew, we expect the taste to be bold, and this was not. While the size is great for the price, we consider this a waste of money.

Jambo Cocoa Freeze – $5.99

A frosty blend of Hot Cocoa by Joffrey’s, milk, and cinnamon syrup, topped with whipped cream and chocolate powder

Our next beverage was sold at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

First things first, this was a very hot day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we appreciated that this beverage was winter-themed but actually served cold. You get the fun of hot cocoa without feeling the heat of hot cocoa. It has an added bit of banana flavor, but it is subtle and blends well with the chocolate.

Our reporter isn’t the biggest cinnamon fan, but even she thought the cinnamon wasn’t overpowering the other flavors. This wasn’t overly sweet and had a perfect mixture of all the ingredients. We would be happy to get this again, especially on a hot day.

Under The Sea Salt Caramel Latte – $6.79

Espresso, your choice of milk, and sea salt caramel toffee sauce, topped with whipped cream and purple sprinkles

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Annual Passholder beverage, the Under The Sea Salt Caramel Latte, can be found at the kiosk in Pixar Place.

This is just a latte, nothing fancy here. Unfortunately for us, when we got our drink, the kiosk was out of the Sea Salt Caramel Toffee sauce, so they substituted it with regular caramel syrup.

A hand holds a Joffrey's iced coffee topped with whipped cream and purple sprinkles, perfect for V.I.Passholders.

Did we enjoy it despite the substitution? Sure, but we would have liked to know what the actual Passholder drink tasted like, too.

Buzzin’ Honey Latte – $6.79

Espresso, milk, honey, and vanilla syrup, topped with whipped cream and honey graham cracker crumbs

Our final stop took us to Disney Springs, where we picked up our last drink and completion prize at the Joffrey’s location in The Landing.

In our opinion, the espresso drinks are better than this latte. It’s not overly sweet, but you do get some sweetness from the honey. We’re unsure about the graham cracker crumbs on top, but it’s fine as an accent.

Completion Prize

We picked up our completion prize at this point, and the Cast Members took our stamp card in exchange. This is a cute cup sleeve, featuring both the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company branding.

A hand holds a Joffrey's Freshly Brewed Card with a Mickey Mouse logo in a store with shelves of packaged goods.

It will certainly help keep your drinks from being too cold or hot to the touch, and we like the Mickey icon on the bottom.

Final Thoughts

This was a fun experience for Passholders, but with a huge difference in quality across the board. Some drinks were really great, while others were disappointing. It took us about five hours in total to get all of the drinks, as we did utilize Disney transportation to get to and from each park and Disney Springs.

Overall, our ranking would go like this:

  1. Magic Kingdom
  2. Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  3. Disney Springs
  4. Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  5. EPCOT

We would not recommend trying to get all of these drinks in one day. It’s also worth mentioning again that at some locations (depending on the Cast Member), you don’t have to purchase the Passholder-exclusive drink to get your card stamped. It’s a fine excuse to visit all four parks and Disney Springs, and you get a prize at the end for your trouble.

Have you tried getting all five Annual Passholder-exclusive Joffrey’s drinks for V.I.Passholder Summer Days? What did you think of the completion prize? Let us know in the comments and on social media.
