Disney’s Hollywood Studios has launched a new salad dish, one ice cream float, and three alcoholic drinks for the summer. Naturally, we went out on the first day they were available to try everything.
New Menu Items at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rosie’s All-American Cafe

Rosie’s All-American Cafe is located in Sunset Ranch Market on Sunset Boulevard, across from Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage.
Hot Honey Buffalo Chicken Chef Salad – $12.99
Hot honey buffalo chicken, romaine lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, celery, cucumber, avocado, peppadew peppers, and green onion, topped with sriracha-ranch dressing
It’s almost like Disney went through the whole produce aisle and threw every item in this salad. It has a slight kick to it, thanks to the sriracha-ranch dressing, which we really enjoy. If you’re fine with a bit of spice, but not a lot, this should be fine for you. We also appreciate that this has a healthy serving of dressing for the amount of salad, which we find is not always the case.
This is a great lunch option on a hot summer day. The chicken is cooked, but our serving was not steaming hot. The other ingredients are very fresh, too. We would come back and get this salad again.

Epic Eats

Epic Eats is located in the Echo Lake area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to the right of the entrance to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
Cold Brew Ice Cream Float (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.49
Joffrey’s Cold Brew, flavored with Madagascar vanilla, served with soft-serve vanilla ice cream

The cold brew mixed in here is super bitter, and we could’ve let our ice cream melt a little more to offset that. Joffrey’s Cold Brew is not our favorite, but if you need both a caffeine boost and a sweet treat, you might like this. We would recommend letting the ice cream melt a bit before sipping.

Backlot Express
Backlot Express is also located in the Echo Lake section of the park, to the left of Star Tours — The Adventures Continue.
Frozen Watermelon Vodka Lemonade – $16.50
Tito’s Handmade Vodka, watermelon, and Minute Maid Lemonade
This is dangerously good! We could hardly taste the alcohol in it. Disney should offer this in a non-alcoholic option; we think kids would love it.
You get a perfect blend of watermelon and lemonade, and the vodka is not overwhelming at all. It’s light and refreshing, which is exactly what you want on a hot summer day.

Pineapple Citrus Margarita – $17.50
Teremana Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, DOLE Pineapple Juice, Minute Maid Lemonade, Hawaiian Island syrup

This is yet another dangerous drink at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s not as sweet as the watermelon lemonade; instead, it comes across more tart. We love the Tajin rim as a contrast to the sweetness of the pineapple.

Ronto Roasters

Our final stop of the day is at Ronto Roasters, located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Malastare Margarita – $17.50
Teremana Blanco Tequila, Bols Triple Sec Liqueur, desert pear syrup, and lime juice
Despite being very visually appealing, this was a disappointment. Our review team normally likes margaritas, but did not enjoy this one at all. This comes across like Disney attempted to do something different and interesting, and it just did not work. To us, it tastes like medicine, with the alcohol bringing about a sharp taste that does not blend well with the pear flavor.
