REVIEW: Popular Lemon Blueberry Crepe Gets a Vegan Update at Universal Studios Florida

Brit Tuttle

The Lemon Blueberry Crepe at Central Park Crepes in Universal Studios Florida has gotten an update a while back to make it vegan, so we gave it a try and compared it to its original recipe.

Lemon Blueberry Crepe (Vegan) – $12.99

Lemon pound cake, lemon curd, fresh blueberries, whipped topping, powdered sugar

Our crepe was nicely chilled when we received it. The lemon curd gives the right amount of sourness to balance the sweetness of the whipped cream — which is made from oak milk, making this vegan! The lemon mascarpone was also removed. We don’t think you’d be able to tell it’s vegan by taste alone.

The crepe itself has also changed, and is now blue instead of the usual tan color. (See the previous versio above on the right.)

Inside is lemon pound cake, and plenty of blueberries, so you’ll definitely feel full after eating one of these. If you’re after that, it could make for a sweet “theme park girl lunch” or a mid-day snack in the Florida heat.

We would recommend you try this, but you will definitely have to like blueberries, or be okay with picking them out.
