New Speed Humps Added to EPCOT Parking Entry Lanes

Some new speed humps have been added to a section of the entry lanes leading toward the EPCOT parking lot.

Two sets of speed humps have been added to the roadway approaching the EPCOT parking plaza. They are black and yellow, and are placed just behind the rumble strips that were already present at this location.

At this time, the first set of speed humps only extends through the left lanes. It is likely Disney will add these all the way across the road for safety, as we witnessed several cars swerving into the right lanes to avoid the humps.

The new speed humps are located just before and after the return roadway, as shown in this shot from Google Maps. The red circle roughly aligns with the location of the added humps.

The speed humps located just after the return roadway only cover the two far left lanes, as they are intended to slow traffic entering the parking lanes from the left instead of straight on.

In other parking lot news, a Cast Member parking lot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is partially closed for the construction of the new “Monsters, Inc.” door coaster. Disney recently debuted a new A-frame sign at the Transportation and Ticket Center to let guests know how long of a walk it is to their parking lot. Cast Members working at the parking lots in Walt Disney World have also recently debuted new costumes to replace their previous yellow outfits.
