Just in time for 626 Day, also known as Stitch Day, Spencer’s has released several new merchandise and apparel items themed to the recent live-action “Lilo & Stitch” film.
Stitch Slippers – $34.99
These blue slippers have Stitch’s head and arms made out of plush material near the toes, so he is looking up at you while you walk. They come in two size options: Small/Medium or Large/X-Large.
Stitch Lounge Pants – $24.99
The next item is an adult-sized pair of lounge pants. The pants are made of cotton material in black with a neon blue and teal green pattern. The pattern, which continues on both the front and back, includes an outline of Stitch as well as some palm trees, leaves, “Nope,” and “Not Today.”
Stitch 3D Trucker Hat – $27.99
This baseball cap is a bright blue color with Stitch’s face on the front. His dark blue nose and floppy pink ears are 3D, so they stick out from the front and sides of the hat. The back is covered in a breathable mesh material, alongside the usual adjustment strap. The hat is one size fits most.
Stitch 3D Face Backpack – $49.99
The next item is a blue backpack with Stitch’s face attached on the front. Stitch takes the place of a smaller pouch attached to the front, with the zipper running around the top of his head. Stitch’s ears stick up on the sides. The rest of the bag is covered in light blue polyester fabric with a pattern of Stitch peeking between multicolored leaves and tropical flowers. This pattern continues on the adjustable padded straps, though the back and interior lining are all plain black. The main pouch in the middle of the backpack is fully lined and has an internal laptop sleeve.
Stitch Pineapple Clear Mini Backpack – $49.99
Unlike the previous item, this backpack is a mini size and is made of a semi-transparent yellow PVC material. The bag is shaped like a pineapple, with a tuft of green sticking out from the top. Stitch is printed on the front in his usual blue colors. There is only one storage compartment in the middle, which is closed with a standard zipper. The back has adjustable carry straps, which comes with clips so they can be moved.
Rhinestone Stitch Cup – $19.99
This 20 oz cup comes with the blue plastic straw seen in the pictures. The cup is made of plastic and covered completely in rhinestones. The front has a rhinestone-covered image of Stitch’s face, while the back has his name written vertically in the film’s classic font. The blue lid is also covered in more rhinestones. The cup is hand wash only.
Stitch Ear Handle Tumbler – $29.99
The next Stitch merchandise item is this tumbler made of stainless steel. It comes with the clear plastic lid and blue straw seen in pictures. The tumbler is bright blue with Stitch’s eyes, nose, and mouth seen on the front. The handle on one side is a pink color and shaped like one of Stitch’s floppy ears. The back has a dark blue splotch reminiscent of the one seen on Stitch’s fur. It holds a total of 40 oz.
Stitch’s Surf Shack Can Water Bottle – $16.99
The final new item is a water bottle disguised as a standard metal can. The can is yellow with a silver screw-on lid. The front says “Intergalactic Surfer” in red bubble text above Stitch, who is smiling with one thumb in the air. The back of the can has a logo for a fictional “Stitch’s Surf Shack” located in “Kokaua Town, HI.” The logo has the name of the shop in the middle of a beach sunset, with Stitch lounging in the sand on one side. The can holds a total of 17 oz and is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
Meanwhile, Disney has been celebrating Stitch Day with special appearances by Captain Gantu, Hamsterviel, and Angel in Magic Kingdom Park. The company also dropped the surprise announcement that a sequel to the live-action “Lilo & Stitch,” titled “Lilo & Stitch 2,” is now in development
If you want to see more Stitch merchandise, Stitch and Angel plush from Disney Store China are now available online in the U.S. for the first time. Walt Disney World also released a new, limited edition 626 Day pin.
