According to the Universal Orlando Resort website, “Starbucks at Universal CityWalk is temporarily relocated inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape as our team works on some venue enhancements.”

While the exterior covered seating area is still open for guests, the windows and doors are completely covered with black plastic.

Green signs on the doors and guest walkway alert would-be visitors to the temporary closure and alternate location. Most of the signs are the signature Starbucks green color.

A sign in front of an attraction reads "Starbucks located inside" with people walking nearby.

An additional sign in a deeper blue color is placed closer to the Great Movie Escape location.

The currently-closed Starbucks is located just inside the entrance on the left-hand side of CityWalk, past Bubba Gum Shrimp Co. However, for the time being, guests will have to walk deeper into CityWalk and head to Universal’s Great Movie Escape to grab a pick-me-up.

Inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape, a kiosk is still set up with one register and a small prep area. The counter and surrounding baskets are similar to other Starbucks kiosks, but this one does have very limited space. We do not know how long the main location will be closed or how extensive the renovations are expected to be, but stay tuned for more updates.

Universal’s Great Movie Escape opened in December of 2022 and has two escape rooms, one inspired by “Jurassic World” and one inspired by “Back to the Future.” Both themed adventures allow guests to feel like they’re right in the movies, while working together to solve puzzles.
