With MuppetVision 3D now closed permanently as of June 7, we have a full video of the show’s last-ever public performance.
MuppetVision 3D Final Performance

The show first opened on May 16, 1991. Now, just over 34 years later, MuppetVision 3D has been performed for the last time in its current state. While there will be a private performance just for Walt Disney World Cast Members on June 10, yesterday marked the last public performance for guests.

The last day of operations for MuppetVision 3D saw long lines and crowds, so Disney prepared by using final show wristbands and extended queues. The fans were so passionate that Disney also prepared extended lines for both PizzeRizzo and the Muppets-themed pressed penny machine.

While MuppetVision 3D normally closed one hour earlier than the full park closing time, it remained open for an extra hour for its last day.

The theater, which was custom built for the show, is expected to host a new show themed to the Monstropolis area from “Monsters Inc.” However, Disney has continued to remain silent regarding exactly what this new show will be, even with MuppetVision 3D now permanently closed. The “Monsters, Inc.” land will have a suspended door coaster featuring Disney’s first-ever vertical lift.
If you want to take a last look at all of the Muppets areas, we have one post with the Stage 1 Company Store, PizzeRizzo, and Gonzo’s Royal Flush as well as a separate photo tour dedicated specifically to the MuppetVision 3D theater and queue.

While the Muppets may no longer be causing laughter and chaos in Grand Avenue, Disney did announce that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be closing for its reimagining in 2026. The new Muppets version of the coaster has also been confirmed to debut by the end of the same year.
