The new, corrected Eiffel Tower scene has debuted at Soarin’ Around the World at Disney California Adventure, among other small updates.

Soarin’ Around the World has been undergoing a phased refurbishment. The ride was completely closed from April 28 – May 2, and now the theaters are taking turns closing for the updates. This means the ride currently has a limited capacity with extended wait times.

Concourse A has now reopened, and Concourse B is closed for refurbishment.

The biggest change is the Eiffel Tower scene. The previous version was infamous, as the Parisian icon was notably curved in the footage. Disney confirmed in May that the scene would be corrected. The version of the ride at EPCOT was updated in November 2024.

The other most notable update is the new seatbelt system. The little red dot that previously unlocked the seatbelt is gone. It’s now just like the rest of the “yellow tab” attractions with a big red plastic piece attached to the seatbelt mechanism.

The rest of the theater had some light refurbishments as well. The movement mechanism on the gliders seems to be a little more active than it was before. Additionally, the projector system has been altered. It looks darker (and a little blurrier) than before.
