At Universal Studios Florida, the Blues Brothers have returned to the stage, and marquee letters have been removed from the Palace Theater Arcade.

The Blues Brothers Show Stage Returns

Recently, construction walls went up around The Blues Brothers Show located in the streets of New York at Universal Studios Florida. However, during that time, the show still had times listed in the Universal Orlando Resort app.

Signs on the construction walls read, “Please pardon our dust, set enhancements in progress.” Less than two weeks later, the walls are down and the performers have returned to the stage. There have not been any major visible changes.

In our last update, we also noted that The Palace Theater Arcade had closed. At that time, no changes to the facade had been made. Now, however, the “Arcade” marquee letters have been removed, although the banners still advertise “Games of Skill.”

The arcade is attached to Sahara Traders, the exit gift shop for Revenge of the Mummy. We do not know if the arcade’s closure is temporary for a refurbishment or permanent, but the doors of the arcade are all locked. Inside Sahara Traders, blue tarps block the windows and Team Members have pulled a rolling door down, blocking access to the arcade from the opposite end. A barricade has also been posted outside, near another set of doors.

There has been quite a bit of construction and new structures added to Universal Studios Florida, largely related to Halloween Horror Nights 34. Preparations for the annual event are already underway throughout the park. There is also more construction in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida as crews prepare to demolish Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
