WDWNT attended the ribbon cutting of Bourbon Steak Orlando by Michael Mina, a new restaurant at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.
Bourbon Steak Orlando Now Open

Bourbon Steak Orlando soft opened on Thursday, July 24, before a grand opening set to take place on Saturday, July 26. The restaurant replaces Shula’s Steak House, which closed in mid June of this year. Reservations for Bourbon Steak opened soon after Shula’s closed.
“Bringing Bourbon Steak to the world’s most popular vacation destination is a natural fit,” said Chef Michael Mina. “A trip to Orlando is all about creating lasting memories—and that’s exactly what we aim to deliver: a dining experience guests will remember for a lifetime.”
Mina is joined in the kitchen by Senior Sous Chef Jonathan Hill, who was Chef of Shula’s Steak House and Executive Banquet Chef at the Swan and Dolphin.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Mina and Bourbon Steak to our eclectic family of restaurants at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin,” said Sean Verney, area general manager of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. “This is a must-visit dining experience for both visitors and locals—a meal worth going out of your way for.”

Some Cirque du Soleil performers from Drawn to Life at Disney Springs joined the celebration.

Chef Mina and Verney both gave speeches at the opening before media were allowed inside to try a sampling of the menu.
