Construction Walls Removed, Donald Meet and Greet Reopens at EPCOT

The Donald Duck meet and greet at the Mexico pavilion of EPCOT has reopened now that construction walls are down from around the space.

People walk past a group of parked strollers near some greenery and a tan construction wall in an outdoor setting.

Crews began replacing pavement around the Mexico pavilion in April. Construction walls went up between the Mexico and Norway pavilions in May. Crews extended the walls around the meet and greet in June and Donald began temporarily meeting at the Magic Eye Theater.

There are still construction walls between the countries, but they stop at the meet and greet. According to the My Disney Experience app, Donald is appearing at this location again.

There are marks in the pavement where the construction walls were bolted to the ground. This pavement may be replaced soon.

In the actual meet and greet space, there is new themed pavement around the old reddish pavement. The new pavement is mottled orange and brown, resembling a dirt pathway.

The old pavement remains around the temple set that acts as a backdrop for Donald. For reference, below is a picture of the pavement from before the area was blocked off.

The pavement all around the meet and greet was the solid flat red.

The themed pavement continues down to the backstage gate. The rest of the pavement will likely be replaced soon.
