Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Under Yet Another Heat Advisory, Feels-Like Temperature as High as 112°F

The National Weather Service has issued another heat advisory for Central Florida, which includes Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, as the ongoing heatwave continues to affect the area.

Central Florida Heat Advisory

The NWS in Melbourne, Florida issued the advisory in the morning on Monday, July 21, 2025. It is in effect from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. The advisory is listed as a Level 3 out of 4, and indicates a major heat risk for the area.

The affected areas include Orange County, where Universal Orlando and most of Walt Disney World Resort are located, as well as Osceola County, where the remainder of Walt Disney World is located. Other affected counties include Lake, Volusia, Seminole, Brevard, Okeechobee, Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin.

Heat index values (the “feels like” temperature) are expected to range from 108°F to 112°F. The advisory notes that these hot temperatures and high humidity levels may cause heat illnesses.

Individuals in the area are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on friends and relatives to ensure everyone is staying cool.

Those who venture outdoors are to take extra precautions, like wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, limiting strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and taking action when witnessing symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

This is the third heat advisory to be issued for Central Florida in the past week, with the first issued last Friday and the most recent issued this past Sunday.
