Third Floor of Copper Creek Villas Closed at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge as Refurbishment Continues

Scaffolding has been added to the exterior, first and second floor doors are taped, and the third floor is completely closed as refurbishment continues on the Copper Creek Villas section of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

In November of 2024, it was announced that the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge would undergo refurbishment from mid-May 2025 to September 2025. Scaffolding has now been added outside of the main building for the Copper Creek Villas section of the resort. According to the Walt Disney World website, all resort amenities will remain available; however, guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.

Crews are currently doing repair maintenance and painting the exterior of the building. During this time, the sidewalk that runs beside the building is closed for guest use.

In the blocked-off area, several green barricades, railing pieces, and construction equipment are present.

Scaffolding can be seen from the inside of the building along with “Sidewalk Closed” detour signs, leading guests down the interior walkway.

Currently, the first and second floor sliding doors of many Copper Creek Villa rooms are taped off.

The interior view of the room is blocked by black plastic. With the blue painter’s tape and plastic covering, it is likely that these rooms are getting a fresh coat of paint.

Third Floor Closed

A sign in front of two elevators announces closure of the 3rd floor for refurbishment at Wilderness Lodge.

The entirety of the third floor is also closed-off to guest access at this time. The sign reads “Please Pardon our Pixie Dust” as the “3rd floor is temporarily closed for refurbishment.” Guests are encouraged to used the elevators near Roaring Fork to access open areas of the third floor in other sections of the building.

Signage is also posted inside the elevator and on other floors.

New Carpet Added to Fourth Floor

Up on the fourth floor, new carpet has been installed on guest walkways.

The carpet is printed with a western-style pattern made up of angles and arrows. The new design is colored in shades of red, teal, green, and tan.

Recently, Territory Lounge at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge adjusted its food menu, adding two new items.
