Foundation Outlined at Former Cool Ship Location in Magic Kingdom

A clear foundation is taking shape at the former site of Cool Ship in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.

A wooden frame outlines a circle in the middle of the construction site near Tomorrowland Speedway. In our last construction update, this space just had some pipes sticking out of it. Those pipes are now inside a steel grid.

There is some foundation work to the left of the main circle. It’s still not clear if Cool Ship will return looking the same as it did before. The Cool Ship webpage still says the kiosk “is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is expected to reopen later this year.”

For reference, above is what Cool Ship and Cool Scanner looked like before construction. They suddenly closing in May and were completely dismantled and removed from Tomorrowland. The new foundation approximately corresponds to Cool Ship’s former location but it’s wider.

Cool Ship sold beverages and snacks while the attached Cool Scanner was a mist spray where guests could cool off.
