There are more signs of Halloween Horror Nights 34 construction at Universal Studios Florida.

San Francisco

In the San Francisco area of the park, there are now black tarps covering parts of the railing along the waterfront. There were “Jaws” food booths in this area for the first half of the summer but they are gone to prepare for Halloween Horror Nights.

Last year, the San Francisco Candy Factory (currently decked out with “Jaws” decor) got a Major Sweets overlay. The year before, Peacock’s Halloween Horror Bar was in this area.

People walking through an outdoor plaza at Halloween Horror Nights, with tall metal structures under a partly cloudy sky.

These trusses have been in place for quite a while, although they now have lights on them. The Coca-Cola signs and fishing props were in place for the “Jaws” overlay and appear to be unrelated to HHN.

A man walks past a covered stage setup for Halloween Horror Nights, with water and metal trusses in the background.

New to the area is this tall platform with railings around it and two adjacent scaffolding towers. They have no props or signage — except a “Do Not Climb” sign.

We noticed a new structure behind this gate between the Amity Island Lobster Co. facade and King’s Cross station.

Black lattice fence in front of tan brick buildings preps a Scare Zone for Halloween Horror Nights under a blue sky.

There’s a tall truss behind the gate. Wires run from the nearby roof over the top of the truss and down the other side.

Near DreamWorks Land

People walk through a sunny outdoor plaza with green light towers, trees, and a spooky Scare Zone under a partly cloudy sky.

Outside DreamWorks Land, there are a pair of scaffolding towers wrapped in green scrim. They are mounted with several stage lights. There’s also a lamppost with stage lights next to one of the towers.

A wooden fence with a metal frame behind it marks the edge of a Scare Zone, surrounded by trees under a blue sky.

In DreamWorks Land, we spotted another structure over a backstage gate. This one resembles a tent’s framework. It may be part of backstage Team Member facilities or unrelated to HHN.

Central Park

A paved pathway lined with trees and black fencing, prepped for a Scare Zone at Halloween Horror Nights on a sunny day.

This walkway leading from DreamWorks Land to the Hollywood area usually holds a large scare zone. We now have our first signs of the future scare zone.

Metal electrical box with warning labels, sockets, and cables on grass—likely part of Scare Zone prep for Halloween Horror Nights.

An electrical box in a flowerbed is likely for lighting, speakers, or other features.

Along the walkway, there are periodically these large square pieces of green scrim. These seem to be covering flat elements, maybe small platforms or pallets.

A black speaker sits on the ground in a Scare Zone behind a metal fence, surrounded by green bushes and dried leaves.

Along with the scrims, there are speakers throughout the space. All of the equipment is behind the railings where guests can’t reach.

A sunny courtyard with palm trees turns into a Scare Zone for Halloween Horror Nights near a Mediterranean-style building.

In our last update, we noted these towers in the Cafe La Bamba courtyard. There are now string lights connecting four of the towers.

String lights with red bulbs hang above a tiled roof and flowers, setting a Prep mood for a Scare Zone scene.

The bulbs are all bright red.

Cafe La Bamba’s outdoor bar usually becomes a themed eatery during HHN.
