The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued another Heat Advisory for Central Florida on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The Heat Advisory is in effect from noon to 7 p.m. EDT on Thursday. It includes Orange and Osceola Counties, where Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort are located.

While the actual high temperatures will be between 93°F and 97°F, the heat index (the “feels like” temperature with relative humidity factored in with the actual air temperature) will be 108°F to 110°F.

Much of the eastern U.S.A. has been under Heat Advisories for the past few days. Central Florida was under an Extreme Heat Warning earlier this week.

Under a Heat Advisory, there is a high chance of heat illnesses. People in the affected areas should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned areas, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.

When going outside, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and limit strenuous activities to early morning and evening. Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles.

Take action if you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, like nausea, vomiting, flushed skin, rapid breathing, racing heart rate, confusion, agitation, and slurred speech.
