While not explicitly related to Halloween, this time of year always see an influx of Disney Villains-themed merchandise arriving at Walt Disney World. This week is no exception, and we found both a new Disney Villains ear headband and a velvet-covered Maleficent Loungefly backpack.
We found both of these new items at Star Traders in Magic Kingdom, located in Tomorrowland by Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.
Maleficent Loungefly Mini Backpack – $90
This Loungefly mini backpack is inspired by Maleficent. The whole bag is covered in a fluffy faux velvet material, with the details for the design outlined over the fabric. The whole bag is black.
The upper half of the front, above the front zipper pouch, has the outline of Maleficent’s face. Her horns are made of a stiffer fabric and stick up on either side.
The metal Disney Parks and Loungefly tag is attached to the bottom right corner of the front pouch. The rest of the pouch has the outline of roses with thorny vines.
The rose and vine pattern continues on both sides of the bag, which have the usual slip pockets. The shoulder straps are made of a more standard black faux leather.
The interior lining of the bag is black with a pattern of Maleficent art in lime green and purple. Some of the art includes Maleficent standing by her raven, Diablo, and the head of her dragon form surrounded by flames.

Disney Villains Minnie Ear Headband – $37.26 (after tax)
The price for this headband was not printed on the tag, so we could only find the price on the receipt after tax. The headband is made of a stiff faux leather material, with softer fabric for the bow. The headband itself is all black with the textured fabric interior to keep it from sliding.
The bow in the middle of the headband is made of softer fabric covered completely in purple sequins.
The ears are made of white pleather covered in a pattern of the Disney Villains standing together. The villains are drawn in black, almost like a sketchbook. The left ear includes Hades, Ursula, the Evil Queen, Maleficent, and more.
The pattern continues on the opposite ear, which has Scar, Mother Gothel, and Cruella de Vil displayed more prominently.
