New Trusses and Lights Added to Magic Kingdom Ahead of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Some new trusses with lights have been appearing in Magic Kingdom as the park prepares for the arrival of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2025.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party brings spooky decor and special effects to Magic Kingdom, and it now appears some of the first structures for these effects are being set up. A series of new trusses have been installed across Magic Kingdom, such as this silver tower on the edge of Tomorrowland near the Mad Tea Party.

A few more trusses have appeared in Tomorrowland, in the area surrounding Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. The ones in Tomorrowland are all silver, with a solid gray box around the base. The top of the tower structure is used to support the various light fixtures that will add Halloween colors to the nearby buildings and concrete.

Two more structures have been added to the sides of the outdoor seating area for Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. One is located on the corner near Cheshire Cafe, while the other is closer to the entrance for the Tomorrowland Speedway.

New Frontierland Trusses

A few more of the trusses have been added in Frontierland, with different coloring and theming to match the land. This first one is located on the side of the guest walkway opposite the entrance for the recently-added McKim’s Mile House DVC lounge.

The structures in Frontierland are painted brown instead of leaving the exposed silver metal, and the bases are hidden by some faux brown crates.

A few more of the trusses can be found near the railing facing the Rivers of America and the corner near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Like the ones in Tomorrowland, these all have various light fixtures already installed for the upcoming party dates.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately-ticketed event that takes place after hours in Magic Kingdom. The party is scheduled to run from August 15 to October 31, 2025, on select nights. We have a regularly-updated guide to all of the dates, including which nights have already sold out. The party will include the return of Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. New for 2025 are some updated costumes for Jack Skellington and Sally, as well as Mickey and Minnie meeting at the Town Square Theater together in their Halloween costumes for the first time.
