The main cast minus Lindsay Lohan appeared, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Chad Michael Murray. They were joined by Pink Slip members Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Danny Rubin, and Chris Carlberg. “Pink Slip” is Anna Coleman’s (Lohan) garage band in the first “Freaky Friday.” They return for the sequel.

In “Freakier Friday,” Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) switch bodies with Anna’s daughter Harper (Butters) and soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily (Hammons). Harper and Lily hope to break up their parents (Lohan and Jacinto) and seek out Anna’s ex-boyfriend, Jake (Murray).

Mark Harmon, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao also reprise roles from the original film. Vanessa Bayer portrays a fortune teller.

The film will be in theaters on August 8, 2025. “Freakier Friday” is directed by Nisha Ganatra from a screenplay by Jordan Weiss and a story by Weiss and Elyse Hollander. It’s the seventh film in Disney’s “Freaky Friday” franchise, although most of the films are unrelated. They are all based on the 1972 novel “Freaky Friday” by Mary Rodgers.
